POWERHOUSE BY MIRIAM KONGSTAD

Through photo collages printed on aluminum, the exhibition examines the word "powerhouse," a word covering a power plant or energy center as well as a term for an especially dedicated and driven woman. Kongstad references the battery as a metaphor for the woman's body; how it seemingly loses its value as it runs out of energy over time. The artworks combines the roughness of the cold metal with the sensitivity and vitality of the body.
The exhibition is open April 28 to June 8 - with a finissage from 1 pm to 4 pm on June 8.
